Join local artist Lisa Matthias for a 4-week drawing course designed for youth who want to build confidence, skills, and creative expression through observational drawing. This class combines structured learning with playful exploration, supporting students as they learn to see and draw the world more closely.

We’ll work with line, proportion, shading, texture, and composition through a variety of drawing exercises using natural objects, everyday surroundings, and imaginative prompts. Alongside technical skill-building, students will be encouraged to experiment and develop their own visual language.

Each session includes guided instruction and open drawing time in a supportive studio environment. Students will leave with stronger observational skills, increased confidence, and a collection of drawings developed over the four weeks.
