Painting and drawing from life can be a challenge, but it is one of the best ways tobrush up on skills and think about how to approach a painting. Join Brie Adkins asshe guides members on painting a subject from life. Live demos and in depthconversation about how to start and finish the study using a limited colour palette.Brie also discusses practical uses for these studies like creating grisailles,understanding value and building a unique colour palette for future art throughthese studies. Some experience in painting is good but not required. The demo willbe in acrylics. Bonus, you get some very cool art to display for Halloween. 🎃

Please bring your usual colors in acrylics, including dark tones like black, paynes grey and burnt umber, as well as white. Other supplies are a variety of brushes, palette, water container, paper towel or cloth, smock, water, snack and lunch. (2)11x14 canvas or panel required. Acrylic is recommended, but oils are just fine too.
