Nature Studies in Watercolour with Lisa Matthias, 3 Tuesdays: February 10, 17, 24, 7-930pm
Join local artist and ecologist Lisa Matthias for a 3-week evening class exploring watercolour through close observation of the natural world.
Drawing from a range of nature-based subjects, such as plants, fruit, cones and branches, birds, or insects, students will learn to both paint nature and see it more deeply through watercolour.
This class is suitable for beginners as well as those with painting experience who want to expand their skills. With a blend of guided instruction and room for personal exploration, you’ll explore an array of watercolour techniques alongside expressive mark-making.
Expect a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where you’ll build confidence, sharpen your observation skills, and leave with a collection of thoughtful nature studies.
