Organization Overview

The Allied Arts Council of Spruce Grove (AACSG) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to providing, promoting, and furthering visual arts and cultural opportunities for the enrichment of community life in Spruce Grove and the surrounding Parkland area.

AACSG operates the an Art Gallery and provides exhibitions, classes, events, community programming, artist opportunities, and arts education for all ages.

Following our recent move into Heavy Metal Place and continued organizational growth, AACSG is seeking to refresh and strengthen its visual identity and marketing materials.

 

Project Overview

AACSG is seeking proposals from qualified designers, branding agencies, or marketing contractors to develop a refreshed brand identity that reflects the organization’s role as a welcoming, creative, and community-focused arts organization.

The selected contractor will work collaboratively with AACSG representatives to create a cohesive visual identity system and supporting marketing materials that can be used consistently across print, digital, signage, social media, exhibitions, sponsorship materials, and community outreach.

 

Project Goals

The goals of this project are to:

Create a modern, recognizable, and flexible visual identity

Reflect the creativity and accessibility of the organization

Improve consistency across marketing and communications

Develop branding that works across both print and digital formats

Create materials that can evolve with the organization into the future

Scope of Work

 

The successful contractor will be expected to provide the following services and deliverables:

Brand Discovery & Consultation

Initial consultation meetings

Review of existing branding and materials

Discussion of organizational values, audiences, and goals

Presentation of initial creative direction concepts

Logo Design

 

Development of:

Primary logo

Secondary logo variations

Simplified icon or mark

Horizontal and vertical versions

Black and white versions

Reverse/white versions

Brand Identity Package

Development of:

Brand color palette

Typography recommendations

Visual style direction

Graphic elements or supporting motifs if applicable

Brand Guidelines

 

Creation of a concise brand guide including:

Proper logo usage

Minimum sizing and spacing

Color specifications

Typography usage

Incorrect usage examples

Digital and print recommendations

Marketing Materials

 

Creation of branded templates and/or designs for materials such as:

Posters

Social media graphics

Event promotional materials

Presentation templates

Email/newsletter headers

Sponsorship or membership materials

Signage templates

 

Final materials and exact deliverables may be refined collaboratively during the project.

 

Deliverables

The successful contractor must provide:

Final File Formats

AI

EPS

SVG

PNG

JPG

PDF

Editable working files including source files for all approved materials.

 

Digital & Print Ready Files

All final designs must be suitable for both print and digital use. These will be used for digital newsletters, social media purposes and on our website.

 

Ownership & Usage Rights

 Upon final payment:

AACSG will retain full ownership and usage rights, including moral rights, for all final approved designs and materials.

AACSG may reproduce, edit, adapt, and use the materials indefinitely without restriction.

The contractor may showcase the work for portfolio and promotional purposes, provided it aligns with AACSG’s public brand. AACSG retains the right to demand removal of any display that deviates from the AACSG’s established image and reputation.

 RFP Issued: May 22, 2026

Questions Deadline: June 12, 2026 @5pm

Proposal Deadline: June 15, 2026

Contractor Selection: June 19, 2026

Project Start: June 19, 2026

Final Deliverables Expected: August 15, 2026

While we are hopeful that the project will happen within this timeline we also recognize that in collaboration there may be some adjustments.

AACSG reserves the right to:

Accept or reject any proposal

Request additional information or clarification

Modify the project scope if necessary

Not select any proposal if deemed appropriate
