Summer Art Escape 2017- Children 8-14 years old

NOTE: Children must be 8 by March 1, 2017 to register.

Projects will include: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Printmaking, Collage, Animation, & more! 

Register for the week(s) of your choice for either of these two class times:

 

Mornings: 10a.m.—12noon or

Afternoons: 1p.m.—3p.m.

Fee: $60/child/week

  • July 10 – July 14
  • July 24- July 28
  • August 14 – August 18
  • August 21 – August 25

 

 

All supplies are included. Smocks are available but wearing clothes that are ready for a “creative mess” are recommended.

Week 1: July 10 - July 14

Monday: Animation –using iphone /Apple product with stop motion app also taught, students should bring if they have one, but not necessary. Instructor: Tina Bourassa
 
Tuesday : Basics of drawing - Have fun learning some of the basics of drawing, using just pencils and an eraser to make your images more realistic. Instructor: Susan Casault
 
Wednesday : Painting –Functional art & landscape art. Instructor: Tina Bourassa
 
Thursday : Collage art. Instructor: Cindy Barratt
 
Friday : Mixed Media Sculpture - using wire, rocks, beads, air dry clay etc. can be used to create free standing or hanging artwork. Instructor: Gail Seemann

Week 2: July 24- July 28

Week 3: August 14 - August 18

Thursday : Acrylic abstract painting - with unconventional tools, palette knifes & sponges. Instructor: Cindy Barratt
 
Friday : Mixed Media Sculpture - using wire, rocks, beads, air dry clay etc. can be used to create free standing or hanging artwork. Instructor: Gail Seemann

Week 4: August 21 - August 25

Monday: Explorations in Printmaking - Learn easy to use methods for printmaking. Instructor: Gail Seemann
 
Tuesday : Basics of drawing - Have fun learning some of the basics of drawing, using just pencils and an eraser to make your drawings more realistic. Instructor: Susan Casault
 
Wednesday : Painting – learn composition and colour step by step through painting Seascapes and landscapes . Instructor: Cindy Barratt
 
Thursday : Sculpture - create interesting sculptures using found objects. Instructor: Cindy Barratt
 
Friday : Mixed Media Sculpture - using wire, rocks, beads, air dry clay etc. can be used to create free standing or hanging artwork. Instructor: Gail Seemann
