Val Enders
I have always been interested in art related things and after retiring from the workforce several years ago, I decided to pursue my artistic skills. Since joining the Allied Arts Club, I have come to know many wonderful, talented people who are more than willing to share their knowledge of painting.
Although I have painted in numerous mediums, I prefer to paint the landscape in oil and watercolor. I enjoy particularly, the nuances of natural color found in the landscape and am striving to better capture the essence of atmosphere, distance, and light in my artwork.
Mostly learning by video, DVD’s and reading forums, blogs and notes from the internet, I continue to challenge myself to improve my artwork. I support the AAC and volunteer in order that it continues to bring to the community the gift of art.
I was extremely happy to be chosen as the first recipient of the AAC Art Scholarship 2008.
